On the left is the current Edward Talley box trusser over the Clinch River on 70 South, at Kyles Ford, Hawkins County, TN. On the right, obviously, is the new bridge being constructed. Note that the old bridge has six piers and the new bridge just two. You can’t see it in this picture, but just beyond the other side of the bridge, by the road, is a truck with a massive steel I-beam. Times change.
